Jack&Vanny represents one of my first projects. Do you know the naughty things kids used to do a while back by placing a sign behind their classmates’ backs without their knowledge that contained a harmless message that could be embarrassing to them? Jack & Vanny comes up with a cute idea of wanting to make this prank relevant with a series of stickers that were given free with the sale of Monelli branded candies, to encourage their sale. It’s definitely not the kind of drawing I usually draw but it was definitely the most fun project. Since the purpose of the prank might be annoying for someone, I thought I’d give the character the image of a fly “Jack” and his girlfriend “Vanny.” In addition to creating the characters and illustrations, I also created the graphic design of the candy labels and advertising.
